Prayer for the long life of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama:

"In this pure realm encircled by snow mountains. You are the source of all benefit and happiness without exception. May the lotus feet of Tenzin Gyatso, powerful Chenresig, remain steadfast until the end of cyclic existence!"

Teachings

Thupten Drolma has taught meA Prayer: "In prayer I aspire that we gather in great joy. For this life, take this as the essential point to be heard: speech is indestructible sound like an echo. Mind is empty, free of material concerns."ditation, workshops and classes; performed and recorded music; sponsored and supported religious ceremonies and festivals; and organized special events for over 20 years. A former bhikshuni, Thupten Drolma took nagma vows with HE Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche in the early 1980s. Thupten Drolma is extremely fortunate to have studied extensively with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche, His Holiness the 16th Karmapa, His Eminence Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Lama Thubten Yeshe, and other great teachers including His Eminence Garchen Rinpoche, heard chanting the Green Tara mantra at this website.

"With wisdom, one can circumvent much of life's suffering by making enlightened choices and creating positive karma daily. Our Purpose is to provide for the Dharma a teacher, through which comes many ways to establish buddhahood, maintain awareness, and improve every condition, by applying the cure of the Three Jewels. An end to all personal suffering is the ultimate goal; to end suffering for all sentient beings is the ultimate personal goal."  —Thupten Drolma, 1988

Chogyam Trungpa RinpocheWe've been described as an oasis to meditate and drink in teachings. Meditation Instruction—

You are invited! Limited spaces open up periodically for new participants in our ongoing teachings, workshops and classes in and around the Washington Metropolitan area. These opportunities are for adults only. Contact Thupten Drolma to inquire about current openings or to be placed on our waiting list.

"Meditation is acknowledged to be the way to calm the mind, restore the senses, soothe the emotions, create balance and harmony within, and clarify one's life path. In meditation, each of us finds real peace; we are given true discernment. Meditation and study make four a powerful, informed, active, streamlined way of living. Meditation makes our lives simpler and helps us to be more at ease as we walk through our days and rest in light."  —Thupten Drolma

Through specific techniques which Thupten Drolma generates during classes and workshops, participants can learn to reach their own clear, true connection to the world of Spirit. Each person may have a different term for this connection: the Higher Self, the Buddha Mind, the Christ Consciousness, the Universal Connection, the Source, X, the Overself, the Atman, the Guardian Angels, Your Higher Power, the Light, the Divine Mind. Whatever religious or personal belief system you have, anyone can learn these meditations that stabilize the mind and sort out the emotions.

"The positive effects of Meditation bleed into our lives like a laundry list of goodness.  Physical effects can be lowered blood pressure, and fewer asthma attacks or panic attacks.  The mind is clearer, and emotions feel calmer, much less raw. One is able to be less reactive to life and people, and more pro-active; to cease under-reacting or over-reacting, but to learn to respond in a more appropriate, balanced manner in each situation instead of flying off the handle. The phenomena of road rage is reduced.

The ability to concentrate is increased, which helps us to become a more focused, capable individual. Meditation teaches how to keep an inner calm in a stressful and sometimes confusing world. Meditators report increased emotional balance, equable mind and have cultivated pure view."  —Thupten Drolma
